ScSEED is currently raising funds to conduct a countywide directed economic development program that aims to increase the vitality and self-sufficiency of Saguache County residents.
After staff participation in many regional and statewide conferences, seminars and trainings, ScSEED has determined the following steps to attract businesses and create more jobs throughout the county:
- Create a database of countywide businesses so everyone can see what we have and what we need!
- Create a demographics and attraction marketing piece that would be promoted throughout the state and possibly the nation to show why Saguache County is an ideal place to locate new businesses.
- Create a business attraction website that features information, links and resources in a one-stop-shop.
- Create a database of real estate for business purposes to help property owners sell their commercial real estate and help buyers find their new home.
- Establish a relationship with a site selector company to help attract larger scale industries that will rapdily increase the number of jobs available to residents.
